Day 1 Friday May 22 or September 25, 2009: – Today you will Depart the USA for your exciting adventure in the ancient land of Egypt. Your non-stop flight to Cairo, Egypt, will be on Egypt Air.

Day 2 Saturday May 23 or September 26, 2009: Cairo: – Arrive at the International Airport in Cairo, our local representative will assist us through customs and the immigration formalities. We will then be transferred to the Shepherd Hotel for a well deserved rest. First Night Dinner will be hotel Credit of 200LE (Egyptian Pounds) per person. (D)

Day 3 Sunday May 24 or September 27 2009: Cairo: - This morning your wake up call will be approximKing Tutately 6:30 AM for a departure from the hotel at 7:30 AM. This morning your guide will introduce you to the masterpieces of ancient Egypt in the Egyptian Museum, including the treasures of Tutankamun. After Lunch, visit Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit sites like the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Moallaka Church where the Virgin Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus took refuge. This Evening we will have “Happy Hour on the NILE” followed by Dinner at the internationally acclaimed Felfela Restaurant. (B/L/D)

DAY 4 Monday May 25 or September 28 2009: Cairo: - This morning your wake up call will be approximately Imhotep 7:00 AM for a departure from the hotel at 8:30 AM. This morning you will visit Ancient Memphis, the first capital of a united Upper and Lower Egypt. Then we are off to Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. After Lunch we're off to the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, which have stood for the last 5000 years. An old Arab Proverb says: "Man fears Time, yet Time fears the Pyramids." Upon completion of our tour we will retire to Christo’s Seafood House for a leisurely dinner in the shadow of the Great Pyramid and then on to the Pyramids Sound and Light Show. (B/L/D)

Day 5 Tuesday May 26 or September 29, 2009: Cairo/Aswan: - This morning will say goodbye to our hotel in Cairo, and drive back to the airport. After a short flight this morning we will visit the Aswan Dams, the Temple at Philae and the Unfinished Obelisk. We will then transfer to the Nile River Cruise Boat and check in. This afternoon there will be a felucca sail to view Elephantine Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. There will be time for a visit to the Spice Market this evening. (B/L/ D)

Day 6 Wednesday May 27 or September 30, 2009: Aswan/Kom Ombo: - Today you will have the option ofAbu Simbel visiting the Temples at Abu Simbel ($220.00 per person) or relaxing aboard the cruise ship, and enjoying the waterfront of Aswan.. Abu Simbel is one of the most magnificent sights you will see on this trip, and is well worth the extra funds and early wake up call. Our boat will set sail for Kom Ombo this afternoon, giving you a chance to view the beauty of the magnificent Nile river as we set sail. Arrival at Kom Ombo will be in the early evening, for a visit to the Temple of Sobek, the Crocodile God. (B/L/ D)

Day 7 Thursday May 28 or October 1, 2009: Edfu: -Edfu was a flourishing city in Ancient Times. On arrival you will then travel via horse drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful and preserved Temples in Egypt. The origins of the Temple probably date back to the Second Intermediate Period, but the actual Temple only dates back to Ptolemaic times. Then we set sail for Esna and the locks. And at the locks, as we wait our turn to go through, the locals will row out to the Nile boats and attempt to sell you a Galabia, knowing that tonight there is a “Galabia party” on board your boat. During the party, some games are conducted that are run by the tour guides. To buy a Galabia will cost you around 50 LE (Egyptian Pounds). (B/L/ D)

Day 8 Friday May 29 or October 2, 2009: Luxor/Valley of the Kings: - Cross the Nile this morning Queen Hatshepsut to visit the world renowned Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, followed by a visit to the Colossi of Memnon. The Valley of the Kings was the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, and is located on the west bank at Luxor. The only entrance to this place was a long narrow winding path. This was a secret place, where sentries were placed at the entrance of the Valley, as well as along the top of the hills, in the hopes of discouraging tomb robbers, who had in the past plundered all royal tombs, including the treasures of the Pyramids! The Valley of the Queens is an isolated cemetery, at the southern part of the vast necropolis of Thebes, on the west bank of Luxor. It contains about 70 tombs, mainly belonging to Queens, Princesses, Princes and Nobles, who lived during the 19th and 20th Dynasties. The Temple of Deir El-Bahri is one of the most characteristic temples in the whole of Egypt, due to iColossi of Memnonts design and decorations. It was built of limestone, not sandstone like most of the other funerary temples of the New Kingdom period. It is thought that Senimut, the genius architect who built this Temple, was inspired in his design by the plan of the neighboring mortuary Temple of the 12th Dynasty King, Neb-Hept-Re. The Temple was built for the great Queen Hatshepsut (18th Dynasty), to commemorate her achievements and to serve as a funerary Temple for her, as well as a sanctuary of the God, Amon Ra. The Colossi of Memnon are two, gigantic figures of Amenhotep III that were originally situated in front of his Mortuary temple, which was destroyed for unknown reasons! The two colossi are made of sandstone, which during ancient times was brought from Gabal El Silselah.(B/L/ D)

Day 9 Saturday May 30 or October 3, 2009: Luxor: - This morning we will visit the largest tempAkhenatenle complex in all of Egypt, Karnak Temple. The complex contains a group of Temples such as the Great Temple of Amon Ra, The Temple of Khonso, The Ipt Temple, The Temple of Ptah, the Temple of Montho and the Temple of the God Osiris. We will then continue to Luxor Temple. Luxor Temple, or The Temple of Luxor, is among the most beautiful Temples in Egypt. It was known in the New Kingdom period as Ipt-Rsyt, which means the southern shrine. This was to differentiate between this Temple and Karnak Temple, which was the northern House of Amon_Ra. From there we will transfer for an afternoon flight back to Cairo. In Cairo the remainder of the day is free to do as you wish. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner cruise and show on the Nile.
